Serve the Spectrum Inc. was co-founded in 2021 by our president, Ashley DeHaan, and her husband, Paul DeHaan. Ashley's son was diagnosed with autism at the age of three in 2018. Since his diagnosis, Ashley experienced first hand how challenging it can be to navigate educational institutions and healthcare systems to ensure necessary support services are in place for an individual with special needs. When she repeatedly witnessed insurance companies denying services in the educational setting and educational institutions being unable to afford the needed services, it inspired her to start Serve the Spectrum Inc. The organization is devoted to helping individuals with ASD and schools with ASD students to afford resources, tools, and services through our grants.
