Serve the Spectrum Inc. was founded in 2021 by Ashley and Paul DeHaan after Ashley’s experience advocating for her autistic son revealed how difficult it can be for families to access essential support. She witnessed schools, organizations, and families struggle to secure the services, tools, and specialists needed—and saw financial barriers stand in the way far too often.

Serve the Spectrum was created to change that. Through our grant programs, we partner with families, schools, and community organizations across the greater Charlotte area to expand access to the resources that help autistic individuals thrive—ensuring that financial limitations are never a barrier to meaningful care, opportunity, or progress. This commitment is—and will always be—the heart of our mission.
